This term Ifield School led its 7th consecutive ski residential to Pila, Italy. 13 students from our Secondary and sixth form departments travelled for 18 hours by coach and Ferry to reach the beautiful Italian Alps; even stopping for a French breakfast on the way. After a warm welcome from our favourite hotelier Hector; the students had some time to relax and prepare for 6 days of ski school. The progress that pupils made on the slopes was fantastic and their accomplishments amazed both Ifield and Interski staff alike. This group of students reached heights that have never been seen on the residential before; with a small group even attempting some jumps in the snow park! Each evening the group took part in: bowling, pizza evening, a disco and tobogganing; great fun was had by all.
At the presentation evening pupils continued to astound me with their own awards and kindness towards each other. A special mention to Thomas Brown and Michael Russell who enjoyed their final ski trip with us; you will be missed very much in the gondola next year! Many thanks to Miss Scott, Mr Gardner and Mr Cassingham for all their support on this residential.
