During the summer break one of our Sixth Form students, supported by a member of staff, attended a Project DeShame residential, which is the Childnet Online Safety forum for young people.
Subjects including healthy online relationships, online safety and how to tackle peer-based online sexual harassment among 13-17 year olds were explored in a number of workshops and discussed with students from other schools and colleges.
Our student undertook an intensive application and interview process which was open to students aged 13-17 Nationally. He impressed the Childnet team and this has resulted in his appointment to the Youth Advisory Board.
