LO: To identify who is a stranger
Starter
View the video Protect Yourself Rules - A Friendly Stranger - YouTube
Cut up who is a stranger symbols. Lay them out and discuss who is a stranger.
Activity
Hard - Complete the work sheet What is a stranger. Ask pupils to write a sentence on who is a stranger. This can be scripted if needed. Continue on to Medium activity.
Medium - complete the cut and stick Stranger / safe adult sorting activity with some support. Using who is a stranger symbols and who is a stranger sorting page.
Explore - Use a road play mat in a tray or on the floor (or make your own roads using masking tape) with a selection of toy cars and people. Role play strangers and family using the toys and who is a stranger symbols. Discuss who is a safe adult and who is an unsafe stranger.

Explore – Explore different items of rubbish. Look/touch/hold the different items. Discuss the materials and with support group items together that are made from the same material.

LO: To identify different coins and their value
Activity
Create a shop role play with some different items from around the house (could be items of food) Use the price tags if needed. Act as a shop assistant and a customer purchasing items. Help the pupils to calculate the amount needed to purchase different items.
Explore – Create some large cut out coins. Using some plastic or real coins, sort the coins into piles of the same. (start off with 2 different coloured/shaped coins such as a 1p and a 10p) Pile next to or on top of the large cut out coin. Take a photograph of your work
Sensory play Ideas:
Hide coins within a sensory tray or sand / dried pasta / cooked rice or spaghetti /non toxic shaving foam. Ask pupils to find the different coins.

Easy – sequence the nursery rhyme of Jack and Jill in the right order by cutting out the pictures and matching them to the correct numeral in the box.

Hard – draw a picture of Jack and Jill. Write 2 sentences to describe what the nursery rhyme is about.
Explore – Collect different items liking to the nursery rhyme – grass, newspaper/brownpaper, vinegar (to smell), bucket/bowl of water. Share the nursery rhyme and explore the items.
