Activity Vocabulary: Make a list of adjectives used to describe the underpants.
Need to remind ourselves of the features of a list. Use of bullet points or numbers at the start of the line. One or two words on one line. Let’s practise our adjectives to describe Miss Bridge’s clothes eg red jumper, black trousers, shiny boots.
Higher ability To use their phonics to write initial letter of adjective independently. Middle ability To use the CiP word bank to identify the adjectives and copy Lower ability Decorate the picture of pants – consider using paint on fingers or on tools such as a paintbrush.
Maths Middle and higher ability LO: To begin to explore pattern
Starter Look at the different types of patterns on the underpants in the book ‘Aliens in underpants save the world’. Patterns are usually repeated across a piece of fabric – have a sample to show eg a duvet cover or wall paper.
Activity Activity 1: Choose a repeating pattern to decorate a pair of pants. Activity 2: Use pegboards/threading beads/coloured bricks to make a repeating pattern.
Lower ability Printing with two colours of paint, talk about the colours used. Adult to make a simple repeating pattern eg red,, blue, red, blue. How does your child react? Do they copy or make their own pattern?
Food Technology All abilities LO: To use a range of fruit to create a rocket.

Literacy LO: To infer meaning from a picture
Starter Recap yesterdays lesson and the book ‘Aliens in underpants save the world’.
Activity Middle and Higher ability Infer: look at the picture. What are the aliens doing? They are sewing lots of underpants together. Why are they doing that? Look at the next page how are they using the patchwork underpants? Pupils to write sentences to answer the question – Why are the aliens sewing the underpants together?
Group 1 Use their phonic skills to write the initial letters, CVC words and tricky words to write a sentence. or Group 2 Use the CiP word bank to form a sentence and copy it underneath the picture or Group 3 To begin to sequence the pictures to retell the story, writing one or two words under each picture (continue next lesson)

RE LO: To think about the Christian value of kindness
Starter A lot of religions live by a set of rules that they live by – meaning look at and make sure they do. In Hazel class and other classes in the school we have a set of rules- go through our class rules. Christians have a set of rules called ‘The Ten commandments’ See attached sheet - Go through these make them more child friendly as you say them. Activities Make a kindness pledge and put it in our memory boxes. What kind thing has someone done for you? What kind thing can you do for someone else?
