Carry out some research on the internet about how to look after a reptilian pet. Use the Microsoft Word program (or similar) to copy and paste pictures and type one or two sentences (with help from an adult).

 

Lower ability: explore large scale mark making – large piece of newspaper on the floor or table and dip hands in paint or use crayons to make prints and patterns.

LO: To make a 3D model of a reptile (ongoing project)

  

Look back at the plan for your model. Choose the materials you would like to use to make your model e.g. lego, sticklebricks, paper mache, newspaper and Sellotape. Choose somewhere to build your model. What could you use as a base? Side of a cardboard box?

 

If you have gathered all of your equipment, you can start to make your model looking carefully at your design. Thinking about size and colours.

LO: To know about an inspirational people linked to religion                                             

 

Today we are going to look at a person called Gandhi- he is very famous for being a good and peaceful person and very anti- violence- this means he didn’t hurt people or believe in war.

 

He was a Hindu which is one of the biggest religions in the world and we have looked at Hinduism before last term when we looked at the festival of Diwali the festival of light.

Find a board game, snap, turn taking game and play with an adult or sibling. Encourage your child to take turns independently, after initial prompting. Remind your child that if they don’t win they should be a good sportsperson and congratulate the winner.

Middle Ability measuring crocodiles. Print off the one page and cut out the crocodiles. Place them in size order from largest to smallest. You may wish to introduce a cm ruler to measure the crocodiles and talk about the different lengths.

 

Lower Ability Print off and cut out different sized picnic items. Name the items and use the language of big and small when giving the food to the teddies.  

 

 

Life skills

LO: To begin to learn how to use the telephone.

 

Show them different pictures of phones on the internet and how they have changed over the years.

 

Ask who uses a phone? Some homes have a home phone and some have mobile phones and some homes have both.

Today we are going to learn how to use a phone and talk properly on the phone.

 

Discuss that two people usually talk on the phone but you can’t both talk at the same time.

 

Activity: To have a successful conversation on the phone.
